Terms of Service

1. The Service

AllerLink is an allergen safety platform that enables restaurants to publish chef-verified, allergen-declared menus and allows consumers with allergies to browse those menus against their personal allergen profiles.

AllerLink is a discovery and guidance tool only. It is not an ordering platform. It does not transmit orders to restaurant kitchens or POS systems. You must always confirm allergen information verbally with restaurant staff before ordering. The human waiter handoff is an intentional safety step.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Tenant (restaurant) accounts are for business use only. You are responsible for ensuring your menu allergen information is accurate and complete.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must not create accounts by automated means or under a false identity.

3. Restaurant Owner (Tenant) Obligations

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of allergen information on your menus. AllerLink provides tools to facilitate declaration — it does not verify the underlying accuracy.
• You must ensure that Chefs who sign off menus are qualified and authorised to make allergen declarations on behalf of your restaurant.
• You must comply with all applicable food safety and allergen labelling laws in your jurisdiction.
• Chef sign-off constitutes a formal declaration by your staff. Retain this as part of your allergen management records.
• All subscription purchasing happens exclusively on the AllerLink website — never inside the mobile app.

4. Billing and Subscription

• Subscriptions are billed monthly per restaurant and per additional Chef Seat.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. AllerLink never handles raw card data.
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. There is no immediate cutoff.
• On payment failure, publishing access will be suspended until payment is resolved.
• Refund policy: to be confirmed by legal counsel before launch.

5. Consumer User Terms

• The Consumer App is free. There are no charges, subscriptions, or in-app purchases for diners.
• Allergen information is provided to assist your dining decisions. You must always confirm allergen details verbally with restaurant staff before ordering.
• AllerLink does not guarantee that menu information is complete, current, or error-free. Restaurant owners are solely responsible for accuracy.
• Selection lists created in the app are stored on your device only and are never transmitted to AllerLink or the restaurant.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AllerLink shall not be liable for any allergic reaction, injury, or harm resulting from reliance on information displayed through this platform. The platform is a tool to facilitate allergen communication — it does not replace the duty of care owed by restaurants to their customers under applicable food safety law.

7. Intellectual Property

The AllerLink platform, logo, and trademarks are the property of AllerLink. Menu content uploaded by Tenants remains the property of the respective restaurant owner. By uploading content, you grant AllerLink a limited licence to display that content to users of the platform.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false allergen information, or otherwise misuse the platform. Signed-off menu snapshots and audit records are retained even after account termination, as required by applicable law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless required otherwise by the laws of your jurisdiction. The applicable governing law will be confirmed before launch.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
